Für den TuneUp Blog - bei dem ich aktiv als Chefredakteur arbeite - haben wir neulich diese Theorie bestätigt: http://blog.tune-up.com/myth-buster/myth-busters-is-windows-search-a-true-performance-hog/ Hier gibt's ausführliche Benchmarks vor und nach Einschaltung des Windows Suchdienstes!

Bei älteren XP- oder Vista-Rechner würde ich den Indizierungsdienst ausschalten, wenn er nicht explizit benötigt wird. Unter Windows 7 macht es jedoch - wie gesagt - keinen Unterschied.
